Black Lab Brewing

$ · BudgetLeashed only

A small-batch craft brewery and taproom in Leslieville named after the owners' late black Labrador mix, pouring ales, sours and IPAs alongside its Pup Lite golden ale. Its own site bills it as Toronto's dog-friendly brewery, with a tap room, front patio and seasonal beer garden where dogs are part of the room.

Why it made the list

The rare taproom where the house beer is named for the dogs, and the staff will genuinely ask to pet yours.

Good to know before you go

The official site describes Black Lab as 'Leslieville's dog-friendly small-batch brewery' and invites guests to 'come by, grab a pint, and let us pet your dog'. Dogs are welcome in the tap room and patio areas; keep your dog leashed and settled as the space gets busy on weekends. Ontario food-premises rules generally bar dogs from indoor food-serving areas, but this taproom serves drinks only and explicitly embraces dogs.

Practical notes

  • Try the Pup Lite golden ale — a nod to the brewery's canine roots
  • Visit the beer garden on a Friday or Saturday evening for the most dog-centric vibe

What is available on site
