Trillium Park

FreeLeashed only

Trillium Park and the William G. Davis Trail sit on the eastern edge of Ontario Place, on the Lake Ontario shoreline. The landscaped park has an open-air pavilion, rocky lookouts and lake views, and dogs are welcome throughout as long as they stay on a lead.

Why it made the list

A free lakeside park where leashed dogs are explicitly welcome, with a flat shoreline trail and lake views that suit an easy evening walk with a dog.

Good to know before you go

Ontario Place's own FAQ states that dogs are welcome in Trillium Park and must be kept on a lead at all times. There are no published opening hours; access is generally unrestricted while the park is open, but parts of Ontario Place are fenced off for construction, so check the site access page. Address and access details come from the same operator's How To Get Here page.

Practical notes

  • There is no public parking on site; walk in along the Martin Goodman Trail or arrive by TTC route 509 or 511.
  • Swimming is not permitted anywhere at Ontario Place because the shoreline is unmonitored, so keep dogs out of the water.

House rules and verification

The pet policy above is summarised from the venue’s own published information and cross-checked against public listings. Policies change without notice anyway, so confirm the current one with the venue before you travel, and keep your dog leashed anywhere that is not a signed off-leash area. Read the full disclaimer.
