Village Ice Cream (Victoria Park)

$ · BudgetLeashed only

Village Ice Cream has been making ice cream fresh daily in Calgary since 2012, and its original Victoria Park shop at 431 10 Avenue SE has a bench patio. The menu includes a dog-friendly flavour, Gus' Doggie Dole Whip, so pups can join the treat run. Every scoop is churned on-site each day.

Why it made the list

Dogs get their own frozen treat while owners sit on the patio, making it an easy stop on a warm-weather walk downtown.

Good to know before you go

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor bench seating at all Village Ice Cream locations; interior service is takeout style. Hours are posted on the company's locations page. The dog-friendly Dole Whip is a regular menu item, and $1 from pup flavour promotions has supported the Canadian Animal Task Force.

Practical notes

  • Order the Gus' Doggie Dole Whip — it's made for pups.
  • The Victoria Park shop sits on a quiet corner, good for nervous dogs.
