Parks · Engativá
A 267-hectare regional park on the western edge of the city, with native forest, a birding lake, barbecue pits and a camping zone. It is the closest Bogotá gets to a country park you can bring the dog to.
One of the few IDRD parks whose published rules spell out exactly what a dog needs to get in.
IDRD allows companion animals only with vaccination card, muzzle, leash, and a bag and shovel for waste, so bring all four. Entry is free and hours are 6:00–18:00. It sits outside the urban ring on the Autopista Medellín, which makes it a taxi or car trip rather than a neighbourhood walk.
The pet policy above is summarised from the venue’s own published information and cross-checked against public listings. Last checked: against the source on . Policies change without notice anyway, so confirm the current one with the venue before you travel, and keep your dog leashed anywhere that is not a signed off-leash area. Read the full disclaimer.
