Miraflores' central plaza, ringed by cafes and known for the dozens of abandoned cats fed and rehomed there. It is a shady, pleasant square, but it is run as a cat sanctuary first.

Trails · Miraflores
A long clifftop promenade above the Pacific linking Miraflores' parks, from Parque del Amor south toward Barranco. Wide paved paths, ocean views and constant dog traffic make it the city's default dog walk.
The municipality itself runs dog walks along this promenade, so you are on well-trodden ground rather than a tolerated corner.
Dogs must be leashed in Miraflores public spaces and owners are expected to bag waste; district brigadistas patrol the parks and remind people. In May 2026 the city ran a 2 km dog walk here with 107 dogs, which confirms access but not an off-leash area. Sea fog and low cliff parapets mean a short lead near the railings.
The pet policy above is summarised from the venue’s own published information and cross-checked against public listings. Last checked: against the source on . Policies change without notice anyway, so confirm the current one with the venue before you travel, and keep your dog leashed anywhere that is not a signed off-leash area. Read the full disclaimer.
