Art House Café

$$ · ModerateLeashed only

A café, bar and creative space set in a 150-year-old heritage house beside Dundonald Park, serving espresso drinks, brunch, salads, local beer and creative cocktails. Its official FAQ explicitly welcomes dogs inside the café and on both its front and side patios, with water bowls on hand.

Why it made the list

One of the only Ottawa cafés where your dog can actually come inside with you — not just wait on a patio — in a gorgeous heritage-house setting.

Good to know before you go

The official FAQ states: 'Patrons are welcome to bring their dogs into Art House when placing their orders at the bar and both our front and side patio are dog-friendly zones complete with a few scattered water bowls.' Dogs must be well-mannered — loud or aggressive behaviour is not acceptable. Current hours are not published on the site's FAQ; check the café's listing before visiting.

Practical notes

  • Order at the bar, counter-style — staff bring longer orders to your table
  • Let staff know if you need a water bowl filled

House rules and verification
