Banditos

A street-food taqueria on Bank Street known for hand-made tortillas, fish tacos and churros, with one of the Glebe's best patios — walk-in only, and dogs are welcome on it.

Why it made the list

First-rate tacos on a patio that dog-owning Ottawans treat as their local, in a neighbourhood built for slow walks.

Good to know before you go

The restaurant states on its own website that its patio is dog-friendly. Under Ontario health rules dogs stay on patios and out of interiors (service animals excepted). Per-person spend runs about CA$12–18.

Practical notes

  • No reservations — put your name in and walk the block.
  • The churros are the move after the tacos.
