25hours Hotel Hamburg Altes Hafenamt
$$ · Moderate·Leashed only
A playful design hotel in HafenCity dedicated to the port's maritime world, with pet-friendly rooms across the 25hours group and easy access to the Elbe waterfront paths. Dogs are welcome in rooms and public areas with prior notice.
Why it made the list
HafenCity location puts the Elbe promenades and maritime walks right outside a genuinely pet-welcoming hotel.
Good to know before you go
The 25hours group welcomes dogs with prior arrangement; confirm any fee and room type when booking. Hamburg's leash law (max 2 m) applies on the surrounding promenades, and the Elbstrand beaches are a short ride or long walk away.

Hamburg's central 148-hectare people's park with a lake, rose garden, planetarium, meadows and wide paths. Dogs are welcome on leash throughout, with a fenced Hundeauslaufzone (off-leash run) near the Planetarium where free running is legal.
A sandy strip of Elbe river beach below the Ovelgonne museum-ships and historic pilot houses, one of Hamburg's favorite dog beaches. Dogs run the sand and swim in the Elbe here, with views of container ships passing alarmingly close.
A chic Parisian-style cafe and bar opposite the Rathaus with wood paneling, zinc bar, croissants and a well-regarded brasserie menu. Leashed dogs are welcome, and staff routinely set out water bowls at the door.
