Soba Toyoda
$$ · Moderate·Leashed only
A soba restaurant on the fourth floor of the NEWoMan Takanawa complex, beside Takanawa Gateway City. Its covered terrace admits dogs on a lead and serves a dog menu, including wanko soba, from 1 July. Indoors is human-only; the terrace has stone flooring, a roof and fans.
Why it made the list
Sit-down soba with sake is rare to find dog-welcoming, and the roofed, fan-cooled terrace makes it usable in summer and light rain.
Good to know before you go
Dogs are allowed on the terrace only, always on a lead, under NEWoMan Takanawa's published pet policy: terraces across floors 1 to 5 are lead-ok, while indoors a dog must be inside a fully covered carrier or cart. The operator states the terrace floor is stone and stays cool, is roofed and closes in strong wind, and has cooling and table fans. No size limit is published, so speak to the entrance staff.
Practical notes
- Tell the entrance staff you have a dog so they seat you on the terrace.
- Indoors requires a fully covered carrier, so plan for the terrace.

House rules and verification
The pet policy above is summarised from the venue’s own published information and cross-checked against public listings. Policies change without notice anyway, so confirm the current one with the venue before you travel, and keep your dog leashed anywhere that is not a signed off-leash area. Read the full disclaimer.
