Killiney Hill Park
Free·Off-leash permitted
A hilltop park on Dublin's southside with wooded paths, the summit viewpoint over Killiney Bay and routes toward Dalkey Quarry. It is one of the few parks where the council permits dogs off-leash in all areas.
Why it made the list
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown's own dog rules name Killiney Hill Park as a full off-leash exception, making it rare off-lead walking near Dublin.
Good to know before you go
Under the council's Parks Bye-Laws, dogs may not be off-leash in county parks except at Killiney Hill Park and the designated off-leash areas in Cabinteely, Deerpark, Marlay, Shanganagh and Kilbogget Parks. Restricted breeds are prohibited from being off-leash at any of these locations. Hours were not published in the material reviewed.
Practical notes
Bring your own water — the hill has no fountains
