Boramae Park
Free·Leashed only
A former airfield turned city park in Dongjak-gu, with a lake, long tree-lined paths and one of the largest playgrounds in Seoul. The city's official tourism board lists it on its pet itinerary as a place to take a stroll with a dog.
Why it made the list
It never closes and sits a few minutes from a subway exit, so it works as an ordinary evening walk rather than a planned outing.
Good to know before you go
Open 24 hours. Dogs are welcome on the paths but must be on a lead — Seoul's public parks only allow dogs off the lead inside designated pet playgrounds, such as the one at World Cup Park. Address and telephone (+82-2-2181-1113) come from the official Visit Seoul listing, which also gives the walking directions from Boramae Park station on the Sillim Line.
Practical notes
Come before 9am if you want the lake path to yourself
Weekend afternoons are busy around the playground and the lake
