Hotel Cappuccino

An 18-storey design hotel in Gangnam listed in the Michelin Guide, with a rooftop bar, gym and self-service laundry. It pioneered Bark Rooms for dogs, with a dog bed, clothes, toys, snacks and a dog room-service menu, and its ground-floor cafe opens onto a Bark Park terrace.

Why it made the list

A genuinely dog-focused stay in central Gangnam, with dedicated Bark Rooms and a hotel terrace for dogs.

Good to know before you go

Bark rooms take up to two dogs under 15 kg each, with a charge for an extra dog per night. A rabies certificate issued within the past year is required at check-in, plus basic vaccination proof for dogs under one year, and dogs cannot be left unattended in rooms. A portion of Bark Room proceeds goes to a Korean animal welfare organisation. The hotel's own site is thin on pet policy and at least one booking site still wrongly shows pets as not allowed, so reconfirm by phone.

Practical notes

  • Book a Bark Room and confirm the pet policy by phone.
  • Bring the rabies certificate to check-in.

House rules and verification

The pet policy above is summarised from the venue’s own published information and cross-checked against public listings. Policies change without notice anyway, so confirm the current one with the venue before you travel, and keep your dog leashed anywhere that is not a signed off-leash area. Read the full disclaimer.
