Patina Osaka
$$$ · Upscale·Leashed only
A luxury hotel overlooking Osaka Castle Park and the Naniwa-no-Miya site, with a spa, an indoor pool and several restaurants. It runs a documented dog-friendly stay programme with a published pet policy, a short walk from the castle's walking paths.
Why it made the list
A documented luxury dog stay beside Osaka Castle Park, which makes early morning walks straightforward.
Good to know before you go
Up to two dogs per room, maximum 15 kg each, at JPY 10,000 per dog per night including extra cleaning, and the stay must be arranged with reservations in advance. In public areas dogs go in a cart or carrier, and they may join guests only on the terrace of the P72 restaurant, not indoors. Rabies and combination vaccine certificates issued within the past year are checked at check-in, and a paw-washing station beside the ground-floor entrance runs around the clock. The hotel publishes no check-in time on its pet page, so the hours field is left blank.
Practical notes
- Arrange the pet stay with reservations well before arrival.
- Carry the vaccination certificates to check-in.
What is available on site

House rules and verification
The pet policy above is summarised from the venue’s own published information and cross-checked against public listings. Policies change without notice anyway, so confirm the current one with the venue before you travel, and keep your dog leashed anywhere that is not a signed off-leash area. Read the full disclaimer.
