Parque Canino do Jardim Botto Machado
Free·Off-leash permitted
Lisbon's first dog park in the historic centre, opened in 2018 inside the Jardim Botto Machado beside Campo de Santa Clara and the Feira da Ladra flea market. The fenced off-leash area has agility equipment, benches, shaded trees and a dog drinking fountain, and the garden also has a kiosk with a terrace.
Why it made the list
A central, fenced off-leash dog park with shade and water, right by the flea market and river viewpoints.
Good to know before you go
The area is fenced and dogs run off-lead inside; the rules are posted on site, and outside such zones Lisbon requires a lead. Dogs must not enter children's play areas, and owners must pick up waste. There is no charge. The garden's official hours and any off-leash time restrictions are posted on site and were not confirmed online, and the postcode given here is approximate.
Practical notes
- Visit on a Tuesday or Saturday to combine it with the flea market.
- Bring water — the park can be dusty in summer.

House rules and verification
The pet policy above is summarised from the venue’s own published information and cross-checked against public listings. Policies change without notice anyway, so confirm the current one with the venue before you travel, and keep your dog leashed anywhere that is not a signed off-leash area. Read the full disclaimer.
