Mamaka by Ovolo

$$$ · UpscaleLeashed only

A beachfront design hotel in central Kuta, opposite the beach, with a rooftop pool and two restaurants. It runs a V.I.Pooch package for guests travelling with a dog, providing a bed, mat, food bowl and treats in selected Summer Garden rooms, where the dog must be leashed in public areas.

Why it made the list

Its published V.I.Pooch package spells out exactly how dogs are handled, which is unusually clear for a Bali beach hotel and makes the stay predictable for owners.

Good to know before you go

Ovolo's own offer page states the V.I.Pooch package is limited to the Summer Garden room category, includes amenities for one dog, and allows a second with prior approval and a nightly fee. Dogs must be leashed in public areas, never left alone in the room, and are barred from dining venues and leisure facilities except the poolside area. Bali is majority-Hindu and broadly relaxed about dogs, but provincial rules bar dogs roaming unsupervised in public; no daily hours appear on the offer page.

Practical notes

  • Request the Summer Garden room, as the pet package is limited to that category only.
  • Walk the dog on Kuta beach early; the sand is cooler and the beach empties before the midday crowds.

House rules and verification

The pet policy above is summarised from the venue’s own published information and cross-checked against public listings. Policies change without notice anyway, so confirm the current one with the venue before you travel, and keep your dog leashed anywhere that is not a signed off-leash area. Read the full disclaimer.
