Half Acre Beer Co. — Balmoral

$$ · ModerateLeashed only

Half Acre's Balmoral taproom is a long-running Chicago brewery in a converted industrial building, best known for Daisy Cutter. Taproom, shop and a large seasonal outdoor beer garden, with the garden as the dog-friendly area.

Why it made the list

The brewery states on its own site that the beer garden is dog-friendly, which makes it a reliable dog stop in the Lincoln Square area rather than a gamble.

Good to know before you go

Half Acre's official site says the outdoor beer garden is dog-friendly and asks that all dogs remain on a leash for the duration of the visit, with owners fully liable for their pets. Dogs are not confirmed indoors, so assume beer-garden access only. The garden closes immediately in lightning, thunder or rain, and the kitchen shuts an hour before closing.

Practical notes

  • Dogs are outdoor-garden only — check the forecast first.
  • Bring water; the garden has no dedicated dog station.

What is available on site

  • Shaded seating
  • Water bowls

House rules and verification

The pet policy above is summarised from the venue’s own published information and cross-checked against public listings. Policies change without notice anyway, so confirm the current one with the venue before you travel, and keep your dog leashed anywhere that is not a signed off-leash area. Read the full disclaimer.
