A designated voice-control area inside Golden Gate National Recreation Area, where dogs walk off-leash along the bluffs above the Pacific. The terrain is dramatic — sand, scrub and steep drops to the beach below.
One of the very few National Park Service sites where off-leash walking is expressly allowed, and the ocean views come free.
Dogs must be under voice and sight control, and waste must be picked up. A fenced 12-acre habitat-protection area in the northwest and the administration area are closed to dogs, and leashes are required elsewhere. Cliffs are steep and unfenced, and coyotes are present.
The pet policy above is summarised from the venue’s own published information and cross-checked against public listings. Policies change without notice anyway, so confirm the current one with the venue before you travel, and keep your dog leashed anywhere that is not a signed off-leash area. Read the full disclaimer.
