Doug Jennings Park

FreeLeashed, off-leash zone on site

A 30-hectare foreshore park at the end of Seaworld Drive with broad lawns, picnic shelters, beach showers with dog bowls and views across the Broadwater. It wraps around the off-leash dog beach and the Muriel Henchman boat ramp area.

Why it made the list

Huge flat parkland plus its own off-leash swimming beach make it the Gold Coast's most complete dog day out.

Good to know before you go

Dogs must be leashed in the park except in the signed off-leash dog beach area between the kiosk and the pump-station jetty; hours are not published and the park is open public land.

Practical notes

  • Use the dog-bowl-equipped beach showers after swims
  • Shade shelters make it workable in summer

What is available on site

  • Off-leash area
  • Swim access
  • Water bowls
  • Shaded seating
  • Step-free access

House rules and verification
