Central Park, Desa ParkCity
Free·Leashed only
A landscaped public park built around a man-made lake in the Desa ParkCity township, with tree-lined jogging and walking loops of 1 km to 2.3 km. It is one of the few Kuala Lumpur parks where the developer openly welcomes dogs, provided they are kept on a lead and owners clean up after them.
Why it made the list
Rare in Kuala Lumpur, where most parks ban dogs outright, it gives city dog owners a legitimate, well-maintained green loop with cafés and shops alongside.
Good to know before you go
The developer's own newsletter states dogs must be on a lead for safety and that owners must clean up after them, with waste-bag dispensers and bins placed around the park. Entry is free and it is open daily from 6am to 11pm. Malaysia is majority-Muslim and some park users are uneasy around dogs, so keep the lead short and give others space; the park does not itself ban dogs.
Practical notes
- Arrive before 8am or after 5pm to avoid the midday heat and the weekend crowds at the lakefront.
- Keep a short lead near the lake and the playground, since families and young children use the same paths.

House rules and verification
The pet policy above is summarised from the venue’s own published information and cross-checked against public listings. Policies change without notice anyway, so confirm the current one with the venue before you travel, and keep your dog leashed anywhere that is not a signed off-leash area. Read the full disclaimer.
