Atican Beach Resort & Hotel

Atican Beach Resort and Hotel sits on the Atlantic at Okun-Ajah, east of Lekki, with rooms from about NGN 55,000, a private stretch of sand, horse rides and evening bonfires. It is a full-service beach resort rather than a public beach.
Why it made the list
A private, managed beach with quieter ends is far easier for a dog than the crowded public stretches nearer Victoria Island.
Good to know before you go
Atican publishes rooms, activities such as horse riding at NGN 3,000, and event hire, but no pet policy. Lagos private beaches often refuse dogs - Landmark's posted rules ban pets outright - so treat access as discretionary and confirm with reservations before paying. Leash and waste bags are your responsibility and no dog facilities are advertised.
Practical notes
Confirm the dog and any day-pass fee with reservations before driving to Okun-Ajah.
Avoid weekends and horse-riding sessions, when the sand is busiest.

House rules and verification
The pet policy above is summarised from the venue’s own published information and cross-checked against public listings. Last checked: against the source on . Policies change without notice anyway, so confirm the current one with the venue before you travel, and keep your dog leashed anywhere that is not a signed off-leash area. Read the full disclaimer.
Freedom Park occupies the site of the colonial Broad Street Prison on Lagos Island, now a landscaped cultural ground with lawns, a stone amphitheatre, galleries and a food court. It stages concerts, theatre and festivals most weeks and is one of the few green spaces in the city centre.
Bature is Nigeria's first craft brewery, making Lagos Lager, Black Gold Stout and Harmattan Haze from local ingredients. Its Victoria Island brewery and taproom pour fresh beer on site and host live music and tasting nights.
Terra Kulture is a Victoria Island cultural complex with a Nigerian restaurant, art gallery, bookshop and a theatre arena. Founded in 2004, it serves dishes such as seafood okro and mixed grills alongside theatre, live music and exhibitions.
